Data controller

Giovanna … – Via Putignano Sant'Ermete, 45 – 56121 Pisa.

What data we collect

  • Booking requests: name, email, phone (optional), stay dates, number of guests and any message entered in the booking form.
  • Browsing data: IP address and technical information logged by the server for the security and operation of the site, kept for a limited period.

Why and on what legal basis

  • To handle your booking request and stay: pre-contractual measures and performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • To comply with legal obligations: guest registration with the Italian police (Alloggiati Web), statistical data for ISTAT/Tuscany Region, tourist tax and tax obligations (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
  • Website security: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

Who processes data on our behalf

Requests sent through the form are handled with the Portineria (myportineria.it) management software, appointed as data processor (Art. 28 GDPR), which in turn relies on providers for server hosting in the European Union and for sending emails. If you choose to pay online, the payment is handled by the relevant service (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Scalapay) as an independent controller under its own privacy policy: card details never pass through this site or Portineria. We do not sell or share data with third parties for marketing.

How long

Unconfirmed requests are deleted within 12 months; data about stays is kept for the period required by law (e.g. 10 years for tax records).

Cookies and external services

This site only uses a technical cookie to remember your language; no profiling or analytics cookies. The Google map loads only if you ask for it. Details in the Cookie policy.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to processing, at any time by contacting the controller. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
